OUR BESPOKE, WHOLE-PALLET ONLY WHOLESALE SERVICE
Our buyer Gaelle says: “The last few weeks have been very short on cauliflower... either from England, Germany, Belgium or France. The volumes have been as low as 10 pall for the whole auction in Brittany for example, and we have seen the price increasing on a daily basis. Romanesco can be found but is still quite expensive. We have to wait a good couple of weeks to see proper volumes and be in full season. Colored cauliflower are available but still quite pricey. Banana shallot price is still down this week. Root parsley is now available as well as most roots vegetables - only purple pots or the Vitelotte are not available until early October. Regarding the heritage tomatoes, price is down this week. French courgettes are available and affordable, as well as Spanish (slightly cheaper) and both are great quality. From Spain, Palermo is currently hard to find, the odd pall can be find. Flowpack aubergines are available and very good quality. Mangoes also available and very good quality in Osbeen. Figs are available but still the Turkish are flooding the market. Sweet potatoes are available but not cheap. Cucumbers are very cheap as loads of volume. Moroccan chilies are available in very small volumes, quality is good though.”
